Ronnie Lee Hicks, 74, of Okarche died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at his home.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Frontline Ministries with the Rev. Debbie Burpo officiating. Burial followed in Oakland-Knowles Cemetery southwest of Crescent with Kingfisher American Legion Post No. 5 Rites. Arrangements are under direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
He was born June 8, 1939, in Crescent to O.H. and Meta Dull Hicks.He attended Kingfisher High School.
He was employed in the oil field, was a welder and worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He played in a band “Country Stones” for several years.
He was a member of the Kingfisher Elks Lodge and the Kingfisher American Legion, Post No. 5.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne of the home; three daughters, Valerie Winfrey and husband Wayne of Yukon, Melanie Hufnagel and husband Dave of Okarche and Theresa Brandenburg and husband Kirk of Kingfisher; three sons, Lance Hicks and Karl Leck and wife Patsy, all of Okarche, and Kris Leck and wife Amy of Kingfisher; two sisters, Shirley Grape and Barbara Schultz; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
